Sydney Spy Classic
The Young/Old Divacat Dolls or YODD to their fans, are the latest act ripping up the charts. Let's introduce the members.
First up, splitting her amoeba-like talent is Emily Williams who is still a member of The Young Divas (a.k.a The Young Divas + Emily Williams).
The next Divacat is Laura Gissara whose vocal talent hots it up like the sex-kitten she is... sorry translation error I mean.. whose vocal talent sounds like a stray in heat.
Self-appointed leader Deni Hines leads the group after no one else wanted to "touch her in the dark".
Gretel Killeen isn't a fresh face like the others by any means. This is her second single... plus she's a really old. Her first single being the outrageous transient hit, It's Time To Go CITYRAIL.
Casey Donovan powers the project with her star power... but then everyone realised it was actually just a-star-reflecting-in-gutter-slime power. They kept her anyway since she's a good listener (her heart has ears!).
Somehow Tori Amos snuck in there too to appeal to the 1995 American market.
Their album features the following tracks (lyric samples provided):
1. Loosen Up My Buttons (Casey's ode about going to the buffet)
"I'm telling y'all to loosen up my buttons babes, but you keep stallin
sayin you gon' let it flow, but I keep panting...
I'm telling y'all to loosen up my buttons babes, my hands don't reach no'mo'..."
2. Deni Hines - Touch Me In The Black (I'm Poor!)
3. Listen Mate (a cover of The Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha")
Listen Mate... your girlfriend aint had 6 years in the biz like me
Listen Mate... your girlfriend aint a freak like me
Listen Mate
4. Beep
Just an angry censored rant of Gretel shouting at the other girls for being young followed by Laura Gissara singing (due to sound laws, it's the longest consecutive beep in recording history!)
5. Drive (Emily William's cover of the Shannon Noll classic)
"I've got a forklift, I've got a big yellow shiny forklift..."
6. This Time I Know It's Real Fur
7. MAH JOY (Emily Williams + A Pneumatic Drill duet)

8. Bohemian Rhapsody
"I see a little sihloutte of a singer
LISTEN MATE LISTEN MATE
Can you prove you saw the footage?
Thunderbolts and lightning, Laura Gissara singing
Kate Daar-ugo? Kate DeAraugo!
Kate Daregio? Kate DeAraugo!
Kate Dagogogo? Kate DeAraugooooooooo..."
9. It's Time To Go CITYRAIL (2006 fare-increase version)
10. Honey To The What's It Gonna BeeEE?!? (A mash-up of The Gissara's classic plus Billie Piper's Honey To The Bee)
11. Ti Amo (Laura's solo single)
I'm sorry to end things on a serious note but Laura Gissara actually IS releasing a solo single named Ti Amo. As you can see here, it's out on Monday apparently. "Young, sassy and determined, Laura Gissara Laura Gissara is re-introducing herself to. the Australian public with the launch of “Ti Amo”" read the press release which is now offline. Here's a shot from the video which aired once at about 5:18am on a Saturday on Rage a few weeks ago.
Sounds like a surefire mishit. At least she's still got the fictional YODD to back up her imaginary career.
Got the latest from YODD? Any other tracks I forgot? Anyone heard this Gissara song?
