Oh rally?
Either the albino pride balloon parade was passing through Sydney today or.. there was another anti-VSU rally at Sydney University. Look carefully for the released balloon at the top of this picture. I'm sure it represents freedom or the environment or not having opposable thumbs or something...
As you'll see there aren't nearly as many people as the last rally. Personally, I thought the balloons were a nice addition, they had something anti-VSUish on them and for some reason I misread it as the Myer logo. Naturally there were police present.. they weren't allowed a balloon. The protesters went down to form a student barricade as written in this news story. I'm not sure how much leeway this fourth and less-spectacular rally will produce. Unless the balloons were filled with more than just the scent of teen and young-adult spirit, we may have to be paying that extra 35c for our Union sandwiches.
