The free mX newspaper is the latest craze taking Sydney by storm.

People in mX shirts (shown below) swarm Wynyard every single afternoon distributing the paper. Most surprisingly is that, unlike 98% of free street material, people DON'T pretend they're being offered an anthrax coated dishrag when someone hands them a copy of the colourful 27 page tabloid. That's right, people actually take them. I think the paper's a good idea actually. There are thousands of cranky commuters packed like sardines on railway platforms waiting to be packed like sardines into a stuffy train carriage. So it does help pass the time.

It's a highly credible publication with all the top stories from the world, current affairs, business, sport, travel.. all getting a whole page each! It's mostly celebrity sightings and there's a tv guide at the back, plus an opinion column to complete your day with the news that matters:

"When will [iPod] invent headphones where I don't have to
listen to the "tss, tss" while sitting next to the person on the train?"

Gary, Castle Hill (mX - Tuesday, August 9 Edition)

Tss(k) tss(k) indeed, that print space could have been used for solving world hunger or something. Oh well, it is a good newspaper simply for its convenience and light-heartedness. So be like this guy

and read it.
