Over enthusiastic big brother advertisements
In Australia, the ads on commercial network Channel 10 (Ch 7 too actually), seem like they're talking about the most exciting thing ever. Quite the contrary, they're talking about Big Brother but the emotion in the voiceovers make it sound like they're promoting the most momentous thing in the world.
My favourite thing about these ads is that they have "the excited woman" and "the excited man" taking turns. I'm guessing they need 2 people so one has a chance to pop some Ritalin during the other person's turn as no one ever sounds that hyper.
It's my theory that this man and woman are actually a couple who talk like that all the time and Channel 10 just secretly recorded one of their typical psycho-dramatic conversations and threw in some metallic music into the background.
