New Easy Way Opens At Central

Easy Way is a fast growing chain of Asian-born drinks. New shops have opened in George Street, Broadway and Wynyard in just the last year. Plus there are more at Town Hall station and Market City. Easy Way is growing faster than the hype over Krispy Kreme died. They're good places to go if you're not feeling bi-polar enough to talk to Boost Juice workers but still want a cheap drink.

They have a menu full of stuff but the only thing anyone ever buys is the Pearl Milk Tea. It tastes you're sucking sea creatures out of a cold tea ocean in your hand. It feels like you're in danger of choking yet refreshed at the same time. While that was a hideous description, it's delicious and there are no fish ingredients so no fishy taste. It's a unique drink but it's not for everyone, so try it out while they're only $2 from the new shop open near the pedestrian tunnel at Central Station.

wats with the anonymous spam posts lately :(

i love asian drinks, so sweet and delish and unique tasting. at uni i usually get the taro pearl tea ... coz i love purple ha. i remember getting an aussie friend to try pearl tea once and he expected the balls to taste like chocolate haha.

i think we need to minimise people's expectations and let em try for themself hehe ... coz it's just ... different. :)

Yeh...theyre soooo 5 minutes ago herein Tokyo...(Tapioca Milk is their official name by the way - since the `balls` arent really conjealed balls of white mucus, but tapioca)..I think, like eating oysters, it`s the closest experience to swallowing :O

congrats on discovering the wonders of pearl tea mr anonymous above me!

white mucus omg! lol! i wouldn't say it has the consistency of mucus hehe. i would say a slightly thicker jelly .. or gelatin-y, but thicker. chewier. or something.

  7. Thanks for your comments all.

Oh wow! I love drinking purple too, i'll have to try the taro. They have a pretty big menu but it's too intimidating when the PMT is there. Oh! What an unfortunate acronym.

Ahhh, tapioca, so that's what they're made of. "Tapioca Milk" would make more sense. I think calling it "Swallowing Simulator" would be a divine name.

Good on ya Mr/Ms/Mrs/Dr Anonymous, I'm glad you weren't scared of our various and vague descriptions.
